Though rain fell steadily in Chesterfield County Monday, emergency water restrictions were set to go into effect Tuesday, Sept. 28, due to the record low water levels in Lake Chesdin.
The Chesterfield County Police Department is recruiting individuals for the Auxiliary Police Officer Unit, according to information from Chesterfield County. The unit is staffed by highly trained volunteers who are sworn officers that exercise full police powers, a press release says.
Members of the Board of Supervisors and Planning Commission sought assurances from planners last week that work on the county’s various area plans would not be lost when the new comprehensive plan is adopted.
