Wednesday storm cut swath across Chester

Last Wednesday, July 6 at about 3 p.m., a storm producing high winds and extensive rain cut across Chesterfield. Extraordinary damage due to straight-line winds in soaked soil brought down trees, which took down power lines and damaged vehicles and buildings.

HICKORY RD.  7/1  Suspect gained entry through the side door where a small window pane was broken out, and suspect then reached inside and unlocked the door. The interior of the home was completely ransacked, including the attic.

PEACH GROVE RD  6/29  Ashton Woods North.  Victim advised that the known suspect, an ex-boyfriend, entered the residence through a bedroom window and assaulted her.

LEE ST.  7/3  Commercial storage shed forced open at listed location.  It did not appear as though anything was taken.

Man missing

Chesterfield County Police and Fire Departments responded to the 21500 Block of Chesterfield Ave in Ettrick for a report of a man who is missing after swimming in the Appomattox River last weekend.
