Something big happened when the Marguerite Christian Junior football team won their Chesterfield Quarterback League Super Bowl Championship Saturday 18-0 over Clover Hill led by Head Coach Brian Foutz with touchdowns scored by Kameron Lewis, Maxwell Oxendine and Tre’ Tillman.
Andrew White, from Chester and formerly of Thomas Dale high school’s basketball team has verbally committed to play at the University of Kansas. The commitment came last Friday, but under NCAA rules White won’t be eligible to sign officially until the regular signing period that begins on April 11, 2012.
One of Karl Hartman’s favorite films is titled “O Lucky Man!” The Chesterfield resident could claim that title for himself after his latest Virginia Lottery win. He won a total of $405,000 in the November 23 Pick 4 night drawing.
Contemporary artist J.P. Visser will be the exhibiting artist for the month of December at the Chester Library. Visser’s exhibit will run from December 3 through the December 30. Chesterfield Center for the Arts Foundation is sponsoring an opening reception for Visser on Saturday, Dec. 10 from 3 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. in the Maud Hurt Meeting Room.

Victim stated she heard a noise outside her residence and later discovered unknown suspect/s climbed up the exterior of the front door and attempted to gain entry through a second story bedroom window. Entry was not gained and at this time nothing has been reported stolen.
