At an adjourned meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, the Board of Supervisors, in the County Public Meeting Room at the Chesterfield Administration Building, will hold a public hearing on the following matters:
Jaeckle will serve as CPDC vice chairwoman
Bermuda District Supervisor Dorothy Jaeckle will serve as vice chairwoman of the Crater Planning District Commission for the current fiscal year, according to a press release from the commission. Her term became effective July 1.
Chesterfield wins digital survey
Chesterfield County has won the highest national award among counties in the digital-government arena by capturing the Digital Counties Survey 2010, according to a press release from the county.

County, Shaw Industries, SportsQuest sign agreement
Chesterfield County recently announced the signing of an agreement with Shaw Industries and SportsQuest, LLC, to advance the first phase of a planned $250 million sports-facility project for the region, a county press release says.
Chesterfield to host international teams for Bronco-11 World Series
For the second year, Chesterfield Baseball Clubs (CBC) will host the PONY Baseball Bronco-11 World Series at Harry G. Daniel Park at Iron Bridge. Teams from across the United States, Mexico and the Caribbean will travel to Chesterfield to compete in the tournament, according to information from Gail Hubbard.
Meadowbrook’s Brandon Cooper signs with Virginia State
Turning down opportunities at Roanoke College and Randolph Macon, Brandon Cooper signed a letter of intent to continue his education and baseball career at Virginia State University. The 2010 Meadowbrook graduate will predominately be a right-handed pitcher and designated hitter for the Trojans. Brandon has also played third base.
