The Chester Community Association presents a concert on August 21 that will take you way back and bringing you a style of music that represents jazz as in Gypsy Jazz, through the Gypsy Jazz band “Django Tango.”

Major General Ben Butler and thirty-five thousand men of the Army of the James landed at Bermuda Hundred on May 5, 1864. They advanced towards Petersburg, where battles were fought at Port Walthall Junction on May 6 and 7, then on May 9 at Swift Creek.

Armed robber hits two convenience stores within an hour-and-a-half

Chesterfield police published photos August 8 from the Circle K on Willis Road showing a suspect walking into the store around 6 a.m. demanded cash from the clerk holding a gun on him.
