On Saturday, the Chester Public Library opened another chapter of it’s two-month series of exhibitions that present the work of local artists. From November 1 to December 29, a collection of twenty watercolor paintings by Chesterfields Larry Grina can be viewed in the main display room of the library.
The Chesterfield Food Bank received a big treat on Halloween with the delivery of a month-long Applebee’s food collection and 300 pounds of apples that were to be handed out during the food bank’s Friday night food distribution at their center on Iron Bridge Road.

The Matoaca Warriors took home the Field Hockey Conference 12 Championship last week, defeating Manchester 3-1 to claim the trophy. Along the way, they also beat L.C. Bird and Prince George (the top seed and heavy favorite) but a couple of months ago, it didn’t seem like that’s where the season was headed.
