Magnolia Grange Planters Day brings Civil War-Era to Life

Interest and passion brought more than 100 visitors to experience hints of civil war-era life in Chesterfield County. Life in 1864 was demonstrated and explained by costumed re-enactors and Chesterfield Historical Society volunteers at the Magnolia Grange museum estate.

Philip Morris building 1 million-square-foot tobacco warehouse at Meadowville

Philip Morris USA (PM USA) recently announced it intends to invest over $50 million to establish a tobacco leaf storage warehouse complex on 118 acres in Chester, Virginia. PM USA will lease four buildings totaling one million square feet off of Bermuda Hundred Road in the Meadowville area of Chesterfield County.

Torch run to affect traffic on Route 10

Motorists should expect traffic delays along Route 10 between Jefferson Davis Highway and the Chesterfield County Government Complex from about 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, June 6.
