Colonial Honda celebrates 40 years

It was 40 years ago when Colonial Honda opened its doors and they were recently honored by Honda Motor Company for their success.

Jessup Road commercial development approved

After months of haggling with residents who live near the intersection of Route 10 and Jessup Road, the Chesterfield Board of Supervisors approved the rezoning of 10.7 acres aggregated properties on the southwest corner of the junction.

Old Bermuda Hundred Road, Jeff Davis due for upgrades

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will start construction on road improvements on Old Bermuda Hundred Road, which includes work on Jefferson Davis Highway in 2015. The project will include an intersection upgrade at Jefferson Davis Highway and Old Bermuda Hundred Road.

First Baptist Church of Centralia is now historic landmark

First Baptist Church of Centralia was approved for historic landmark designation during the last Board of Supervisors meeting. The designation had been approved by the Historic Preservation Committee and the Planning Commission prior to being considered by the Board.

Chesterfield County Fair Pageant seeking contestants

Applications are now being taken for the 2014 Miss Chesterfield County Fair Queen (ages 17-21) and Princess (ages 3-16) pageants. All forms/info may be found at www.chesterfieldcountyfair.org. The deadline is July 26 and numbers are limited so don’t delay.
